1 Information We Collect

Account information

• Your email address and a hashed password, used to identify your account across devices.

Financial data you enter manually

• Debt and loan details (names, balances, payment amounts, due dates).
• Income sources and amounts you enter.
• Bank account names and balances you type in — we never connect to any financial institution.
• Transaction notes and payment logs you create.
• Receipt images you choose to attach (Pro and Max plans).

Usage and technical data

• App settings (language, currency, country, appearance).
• Device type and OS version — used only to fix bugs.
• Crash reports containing no personal financial information.

Subscription data

• Your current plan tier (Free, Pro, or Max), managed through Apple's StoreKit and RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.

2 How We Use Your Information

• To provide the service — calculating your Relief Map, Month Planner, and account summaries.
• To power the AI Money Coach (Max plan) — your financial data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models.
• To deliver Finance Courses — tracking your course progress locally in the app.
• To send optional notifications — only if you enable payment reminders. Turn off anytime in device Settings.
• To maintain the app — error logs and crash reports help us fix bugs.
• To manage subscriptions — RevenueCat verifies your plan tier with Apple.

3 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing. The only parties that receive any data are:

4 Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored on encrypted servers hosted on Google Cloud Platform (United States).
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text.
• All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
• Each user's data is logically isolated — no other user can access your accounts or transactions.
• Receipt images are stored in encrypted object storage, accessible only to your account.

5 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we permanently delete your personal data and financial entries within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics (e.g. total user count) may be retained indefinitely as they contain no personally identifiable information.

6 Your Rights

To exercise any right, email support@escapepayout.app. We respond within 30 days.

7 Children's Privacy

Escape Payout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
